For adhering to ethical principles when elaborating an academic final thesis

When to do what and When to check what
- until 31. 10. 2023, thesis supervisor – approval of the thesis topic reservation and checking the correctness of the assignment of the final thesis, completion of the assignment (finalization of the aim and contribution of the thesis, instructions for preparation, literature)
- until 17. 11. 2023, guarantors of the study programmes will receive the list of students from the study department (International Office) and continuously check the completed assignments (especially the finalization of the aim and contribution of the work, instructions for preparation) with the fact that the recommended literature can still be continuously supplemented with the course of theoretical research by the student
- until 01. 12. 2023, guarantor, decision – acceptation/non-acceptance of the Final thesis topic
- until 08. 12. 2023, assignment of the topic of the Final thesis
Changing the status from „approved“ to „assigned“(arranged by the study department – International Office). This step will allow that the student will have an access to the final thesis topic in the menu in IS KOS, State exams–> My Final theses.
- until 25. 04. 2024, submission of the Final Thesis –> The State Examination 06/2024
- until 27. 06. 2024, submission of the Final Thesis –> The State Examination 09/2024

Can I show preliminary interest in more framework topics?
Yes. Student can show interest in more than one framework topic at the same time. IS KOS does not have a set limit.
Can I have more topics?
No, student can have only one topic.
Can I change my topic that I have chosen?
Yes, even if the student has chosen the topic, he/she (even the tutor) can still cancel it. Theoretically, the student still has the opportunity to use his previously booked framework topics. The option to cancel the topic is available even after the topic has been in the approved topic status.
Until when I have to book framework topic?
Terms are set by time plan which is at disposal in the tab “Schedules”.
Framework topics and final thesis topics are administrated solely in IS KOS
