International Project Workshop (IPW), a joint project between MIAS CTU and Université de Lille was launched in CTU rectorate building in Prague on Monday, February 14. Important companies, namely Cofidis, Komerční banka, L´Oréal, Linet, DECATHLON and HoppyGo take part in the project besides both universities. More information about the project is available here.
The morning part was purely devoted to the work – the students were divided into teams, they met with their company coaches and with the academic tutors and they began to fulfill first project tasks. In the afternoon Prof. Vladimíra Dvořáková, director of MIAS launched the official opening of the meeting. She was followed by the guarantors of the project from both universities and the representatives from the French Embassy and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic.
The Commercial counsellor of the French embassy, Mr Arnaud Guigné, presented the current condition of mutual trade exchange and highlighted its strengths and weaknesses. He wished good luck to the project and expressed a wish that the results of the work of individual teams be inspiring and the companies could put them into practice.

Martin Fatura, Director of the European Union Department of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS), involved in the financing of IPW under the Operational Programme Science, Development and Education, provided examples of successful cooperation of the Czech and French universities. He especially appreciated a practical benefits of the IPW project and expressed a hope that the project could become a keystone of further cooperation between both partners.
