On Monday, February 14 starts a unique project which brings MIAS to a new era of international cooperation. The International Project Workshop (IPW) is a new course for bachelors’ students organized together with the Université de Lille (France). IPW combines all requirements for modern university education: 1. internationalization or how can students learn how to work in a multicultural environment, 2. theories provided by top skilled academic staff, and 3. praxis acquired when working on real business projects.
During the Kick-off week, 24 selected students from MIAS and Lille will meet in Prague with representatives of 6 big private companies (Cofidis, Decathlon, Hoppy Go, Linet, L’Oréal, and Komerční banka). Students have been divided into 6 Teams according to the specificity of the projects and their skills. Each team will work on real projects designed that each partner company has defined. The students will then work on the projects with the support of academic tutors and company tutors. At the end of April, they will present the results of their hard work to specific juries during the final week of the project. All students will get individual and team marks, but they will also get practical feed backs from the companies as well as an idea of what could be put into practice in real life. This is a very efficient method!
