On Wednesday, 29 October 2025, from 10:30, the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies at CTU will host a lecture by David Guralnick – a pioneer of learn-by-doing simulations and one of the leading innovators in online education. Guralnick is the CEO of Kaleidoscope Learning, President of the International E-Learning Association, founder and chair of The Learning Ideas Conference, and an Adjunct Professor at Teachers College, Columbia University. Over the course of more than thirty years, he has designed a range of innovations, including the first corporate simulation trainings based on learning by doing and authoring tools that enabled non-technical creators to build high-quality e-learning. His projects have earned over 300 awards, and his work has been featured in outlets such as Wired and The Wall Street Journal.
The lecture Reimagining the Future of Learning with AI and New Technologies will show how to design learning that is engaging, effective, and individualized. It will explain how to integrate artificial intelligence into learning pathways and how to build simulations and performance support that improve real-world performance in school and at work. The event is ideal for students interested in AI and modern pedagogy, teachers and instructors seeking more interactive approaches, and HR/L&D and edtech professionals looking for proven and practical methods.
We are delighted to welcome to MIAS a figure who has long shaped the future of modern education—we look forward to the event and an inspiring discussion.
