From 7 to 11 April 2025, the Institute of Management Studies of the CTU hosted Staff Week 2025 – a varied and enriching week dedicated to the professional and personal development of university staff. Representatives of academia from all over Europe came to Prague: Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Italy, Finland and Lithuania.
Over the course of five days, participants shared their experiences, engaged in interactive workshops and discussed topics that are currently resonating across universities – from innovative approaches to teaching, to the use of gamification in education, to collaboration with industry and research opportunities within Horizon Europe.
In addition to the professional programme, there were also informal activities that promoted international cooperation and networking – participants jointly discovered the beauty of Prague during a guided tour of the city and shared their impressions during a welcome dinner in a traditional Czech restaurant.
The Automotive Day also deserved special attention, where guests were able to test drive electric cars of various brands and then discuss the current challenges of the automotive industry with experts from the field.
Staff Week 2025 has once again shown how powerful the benefits of international collaboration can be – whether it is exchanging best practice, finding new teaching approaches or inspiring your own teaching activities.
A big thank you to the International Cooperation Department for their organisational support and to all the lecturers and speakers for their commitment, helpfulness and willingness to share their knowledge and experience.
We look forward to the next edition of Staff Week!
