The Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies at CTU is preparing the fifth edition of Automotive Day, which will take place on April 8, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the CTU campus in Dejvice.
This popular outdoor exhibition focused on the present and future of mobility annually brings hundreds of students, professionals, and members of the public to the area in front of the National Library of Technology. Automotive Day connects academia with the automotive industry and offers a unique opportunity to see modern technologies up close – from electric vehicles and new car models to student projects and technical innovations.
The event is open to the public and admission is free. Automotive Day is an opportunity for anyone interested in new transportation technologies – whether they are considering studying technical fields, working in the industry, or simply passionate about cars, innovation, and design.
Automotive Day 2026 is held under the auspices of the Mayor of Prague 6, Jakub Stárek, and the new Rector of CTU, Prof. Michal Pěchouček.

Peugeot is a traditional part of Automotive Day and a long-term partner of the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies at CTU. The collaboration significantly expanded last year thanks to the Capture Allure project, in which students had the opportunity to work with Peugeot vehicles, shoot videos, and create photography with full brand support – the image used in the event promotion also comes from this project and was created by František Horký.
At the event, Peugeot will present a strong lineup of models, including the hot new Peugeot 308 SW, the first to feature an illuminated brand logo on the hood, along with an improved i-Cockpit and modern infotainment. Visitors can also look forward to the attractive Peugeot 408 fastback, the hybrid SUV Peugeot 3008 with an impressive panoramic i-Cockpit, and the electric SUV Peugeot 5008.

At the Valeo stand, visitors will discover how cars of the future “see.” Today, every third new car in the world uses technologies developed with the contribution of Czech Valeo teams. Visitors will see how a combination of cameras, radars, and lidars enables vehicles to brake or park autonomously. They will also gain insight into the “brain” of the vehicle – control units that evaluate road situations in real time – as well as technologies that already enable partially autonomous driving, for example in traffic jams.
The Volkswagen brand will bring several models from its current lineup of electric and hybrid vehicles to the event. Visitors will see the representative electric model ID.7 Tourer, offering a range of up to 700 km according to WLTP and a generously sized luggage compartment, the dynamic ID.4 GTX SUV with all-wheel drive and up to 340 horsepower, as well as the compact ID.3 hatchback, which makes electromobility accessible to a broader range of drivers. These will be complemented by the Volkswagen Tayron plug-in eHybrid, combining a combustion engine with an electric drive and offering an all-electric range of up to 123 km.
