1) The course focuses on the basics of English for Specific Purposes and on English for Academic Purposes, paying attention to the consolidation and revision of basic language skills with respect to the professional needs of the CTU employees.
2) Writing aimed at professional outputs.
3) Spoken language (presentation skills in interaction, lecturing in English).Requirements:

Intercultural Communication
Target group:
CTU Employees and Ph.D. students from abroad
CTU employees who deal with international students and/or colleagues
Aims of the course:
In an increasingly globalised world of intercultural dialogue university academics and employees are facing challenges such as communication barriers, cultural stereotypes, prejudice, identity conflict and language deficiency which compounds the lack of skills to interact successfully. Only through the acquisition of ICC can these problems be minimised.
This course
– invites participant to reveal key aspects of intercultural communication
– offers the opportunity to practice and improve your English in specialised focused course
– give you basic guidelines how to successfully communicate in intercultural environment
